Dr. Mary Senterla P.S

Dr. Mary Senterla P.S. is a Professor, School of International Relations, MG University, Kerala. She is also the Chairperson of the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights Studies in the School. Before joining MG, she was an Associate Professor and Head of the PG Department of Political Science, Alphonsa College, Pala. She earned her Ph.D. in International Relations from MG University in 1992. Her doctoral work was entitled “Indo- Soviet Relations 1971-80: A Study on the impact of the Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation on Bi-lateral Relations”. Her current areas of research include International Relations, Foreign Policy, Decentralization, Local Governance, and Women’s Studies. She has carried out a UGC Minor Research Project titled “The Impact of Epidemics on the Economy of Kerala State: – A case study of Meenachil Taluk.” She has published widely in journals of national and international repute and has four books (including one of her own and three edited works) and 18 articles to her credit. She has attended nearly national and international Seminars and Workshops and presented over 26 papers at various national and international conferences. She has also served as a resource person for various programs. She has organized several workshops, including the One Day Workshop on Curriculum Development (Political Science) held on 24 February 2016 at Mahatma Gandhi University. She has served as a Subject Expert and Member of various Academic Boards, including the UG and PG Board of Studies (Political Science), MG University. She has also served as an External Expert and Question Paper Setter for various examinations, including Central University, Kasaragod, University of Kerala, and Kerala Public Service Commission. Dr. Senterla is also a Member of the Advisory Board, Gandhian Study Centre, Alphonsa College, Pala, Life Member, All Kerala Political Science Association, and Chief Editor, Alphomine: International Journal (Humanities and Social Sciences) ISSN 2250-3870 and Associate Editor, Researcher, Peer Refereed Quarterly Interdisciplinary Journal ISSN 2249-6696.
